Old Navy Wrap-Front Knit Dress

This Wrap-Front Knit Dress has been on my radar for a few weeks now, but this "Bordeaux" color way just came out and it's so pretty.

There are oodles of dresses on my list (like the Tatum Knit Dress and the BR Knit Shift Dress), but it's hard not to add this one too since it's only $29.50.

BR Knit Shift Dress

This Sleeveless Knit Shift Dress has been on my wish list for a long time.

A simple, yet sleek and sophisticated shape in an easygoing fabric (it's made of rayon, nylon and spandex) makes this dress incredibly versatile. Most shift dresses I've found are made of wool which look very office-y, but not very weekend-y.

This "Montego Bay Blue" is deep and rich - a gorgeous jewel-tone color, it's a shame I've been looking for this dress in black.

Review: BR Diamond-Weave V-neck Dress

This Diamond-Weave V-neck Dress is so sexy.

The diamond weave in the middle of the torso cinches the dress (particularly right under the bustline - a good place to cinch on most ladies) and creates some flattering ruching which works perfectly with the floaty a-line.

The dress doesn't cling to the belly or hips but isn't poofy to the degree that all curves are lost. In fact, this dress does a good job of emphasizing curves where they're wanted and hiding the ones that are less desirable.

An added bonus - the straps are wide enough to wear with a regular bra (plus, wide straps are great for offsetting broad shoulders).

A really comfy dress that can be worn casually or dressed up for an occasion that's on sale (now $64.99, was $98.00) is a definite score.

Review: Homeward-Bound Dress

All LBDs should be simple, versatile, and flattering and this Michael Stars Homeward-Bound Dress fits the bill.

The dress has a ruched bodice and waist insert that's higher than the natural waistline - this creates the illusion that the waist is higher and legs longer (the key to looking taller!).

Giraffe print has been an underrated animal print for a long time, and it seems as though BR agreed with that assessment and decided to do something about it.

This Embroidered A-Line Dress has summer written all over it.

The rayon/spandex blend is a comfy, light fabric and the floral embroidery at the straps, waist, and hem kicks this dress up a notch in interest.

Dresses by eci New York

While on a shopping adventure yesterday, I discovered, and fell in love with, dresses by eci New York.

The Sleeveless Print Dress at left would be just perfect for that summer special occasion. The inset right under the bustline (that ties in the back) helps to cinch the dress in above the belly and for lots of ladies, this is a good place to emphasize. Plus, the straps are wide enough to wear a regular ol' bra with.

For a more work-appropriate dress, check out the Elbow Sleeve Shift Dress. A nice, simple black sheath with white trim for a little extra oomph.

White and Blue Patterns

White and blue patterns that look like porcelain are so lovely.

This light, airy Strapless Empire Dress is so pretty and would be perfect for that summer garden party.

Hot Wrap Dress for Summer

The dresses in my closet consist mainly of soft, jersey dresses like this In Dept Tomato Wrap Dress.

Jersey is the perfect fabric for summer. Plus, with some heavier fabrics that don't drape, figures can get lost unless the dress fits really well. We've all seen those dresses or skirts with stiff fabric and you lose all semblance of a butt.

I go back and forth on my opinion of the asymmetrical hem. Sometimes it looks cool and different, but then other times, it just looks unfinished and messy.

The idea of the alternating strips is nice, but these stripes are all about emphasizing the hip/butt area so if those are areas on your body that need enhancing, this would work. However, if you don't want any extra hip/butt attention, this probably isn't your dress.

The hot tomato color on this dress is just great. Nothing like a spicy hot color to go with the hot summer weather that is just around the corner (kind of).
