Convertibles

Left to Right:

The Sak Silverlake Leather Convertible Satchel,
BR Greenwich Oversize Shoulder Bag,
Botkier Sasha Duffle

The Botkier Sasha Duffle was definitely around before the other two, but who could complain about having more affordable options to this practical 2-in-1 bag?

Basically, if you need further justifcation for purchasing one of these awesome purses, divide the price by 2 since you're actually getting 2 gorgeous bags.

These bags all come in around 16"-16.5" (L) x 10"-13.5" (H) x 4"-5"(D) though, so they are pretty huge. I'd love it if there were a slightly smaller version.

Also, when did The Sak start making such cute stuff? They certainly have some yummy bags on their site these days.

Can't Help But Love T-Bags

I still don't own anything by T-Bags, but I should judging by how often I drool over their stuff.

I'm a fan of wrap dresses and tops (if you are a regular around these parts, that's probably not a surprise) - and these are no exception.

How comfortable do these pieces look? AND they are great deals.

The Front Wrap Dress is $63.60 (down from $212) and the Print Front Wrap Top is $50.40 (down from $168).

My Attempt @ Re-Creating an Outfit

I'm usually not inspired by what celebrities are wearing, but when I saw part of an interview with Katie Holmes on Good Morning America (which I actually saw on "The Soup"), I actually paused to check out Katie Holmes' simple, yet gorgeous outfit.

What made me do a double take were her gorgeous nude pumps.

I've been hunting for nude pumps for aaages and her shoes got me DETERMINED to find my nude pumps (it's not an easy job to find shoes to match your skin tone!).

I prefer nude pumps that are patent leather. I'm not sure why, but they definitely give the nude shoe a little more pizazz.

At left is the Guess Brittania Pump in Oat Patent. Not my kinda shoe because I cannot walk in platforms, but they're hot nonetheless.

When I saw the Steven by Steve Madden Eloppe in Camel Patent, I knew I had to have them (despite their final sale status) and luckily they turned out to be awesome. It's still available in a few sizes, but probably not for long.

As for the dress, the Old Navy Women's Cap-Sleeve Wrap Dresses at left would be absolutely great to re-create the look.

Another option is the Banana Republic Buckle Dress which also has a similar feel to Katie Holmes' dress.

Alright, I think I have discussed Katie Holmes enough for 2008. The only thing left to do is wear her outfit!

Cute (+ Inexpensive) Top Alert

How adorable is this Eyelet Babydoll Top?

It's casual yet chic and seriously, looks like it's worth a lot more than the $19.99 that it costs.

I only wish that it came in a happier color - there's no need for all that dreary grey on such a pretty top!

Pretty Print Purse

This O'Neill Hippie Chic Shoulder Bag is so adorable.

Nothing says warm weather like a bright, bold print.

Current Obsession: White Purses

White is such a perfectly crisp color and when you pair white with beautiful leather, you just can't go wrong.

Left to Right:

Sigrid Olsen La Rioja Satchel (as seen previously!), Michael Kors Belvedere Medium Satchel, Marc by Marc Jacobs Lovely Lily.

While they are all stunning, I think I have a soft spot for the Michael Kors Belvedere Medium Satchel (even though I'm not usually a Michael Kors fan!). The awesome hardware just makes the bag stand out from being too much of a big mass of white.

A Gorgeous Satchel For Spring

Even though it's below freezing outside, it's never too early to start thinking about the pretty spring clothes and accessories.

I mean, what better way to keep moods cheery than a yummy leather purse in a brilliantly bright spring/summer hue?

This Sigrid Olsen Leather Satchel comes in a multitude of absolutely gorgeous spring colors. My faves are the green, red, and tangerine.

Just looking at the sunshine-y colors lifts my mood!

Keep Those Cold Hands Warm

Sadly, it's still winter but the sales are on so it's a good time to get those winter necessities that you will still need for a few more months.

A nice pair of Plaid-Lined Leather Gloves would be totally wonderful.

Adorable Dress Alert!

This dress is so cute.

It's called "The Vineyard Dress." I like the modest neckline, length, and sleeves, but the dress is still fresh and youthful. The print, color-blocking, and belted waist help to keep things interesting.

Plus, the dress of made of rayon (which I'm a big fan of). Rayon is always so comfortable AND figure flattering all at the same time.

Handpainted Enamel Ring

These items all look so hot. Classy and wearable for years to come, but still bold and unique.

Pretty Dresses I Wish I Needed

I prefer to purchase items that are practical and somewhat necessary (like for work or upcoming event). I definitely don't need either of these dresses, but they're so gorgeous! I wish I had a reason to buy them!

Paradyz Couture's Color-Block Jersey Dress at left looks so fun but also sophisticated. The black says dressy, but the white/yellow and jersey material says casual. It seems like this dress could jazz up a casual affair as well as making a dressy affair seem more fun.

At right is Elana Kattan's Spun Nylon Dress. This is definitely a dressy affair type dress. The seaming is figure flattering and the skirt is just lovely and flowy.

Both dresses are available at myShape.com - a cool site that you can personalize with your measurements/body shape to find clothes that fit your figure (it even suggests what size you should buy)! When you create your own personal shop, you get $25 off your first order w/ code FM1PURCH. A discount AND clothes that fit perfectly? Pretty sweet.

It looks so comfortable and the perfect top for a warm day (I am dreaming of warm days right about now!).

Floral Print Silk Dresses

These dresses with floral silhouettes simple, yet so pretty.

I really like the black/white combo of the Shoshanna Floral Silk Dress at left. Very basic and very easy to coordinate, but also not boring on it's own.

The BR Silk Twist Floral-Print Dress is also delightful with shorter sleeves and a twist-front detail v-neck.

Both would be perfect for spring/summer and wearing with a lovely bright pair of flats!

Botanical Peep Toe Pumps

These Printed Peep-Toe Mary Janes are precious!

The lovely print (which contains my new fave color combo of green & yellow) just makes these pumps pop.

These are definitely head turners (and for good reason).

Greens & Yellows!

Left to Right: Gap Waffle Crewneck Sweater, Cotton Emporium Waffle Weave Cardigan, Daks London Satchel, Ella Moss Peacock Bow Tie Top in Dijon, Gap Half-Ribbed Empire Henley, Cozy Fringed Scarf

I am such a huge fan of greens and yellows right now. I really think yellow combines really well with loads of colors (green included).

Some Good Deals @ shopyayas.com

There's a lot of cute stuff at shopyayas.com.

At far left is the Pure & Co. Cropped Cardigan Sweater and this would look really cute with just a pair of work pants or skirt.

At left is the Weston Wear "Kelly" Sleeveless Top. It's so spring-y and pretty. Perfect for when the weather warms up.

ShopAmiAmi.com!

Oh man, I just found shopamiami.com and I am loving it.

The Autumn Cashmere Bark Double Breasted Cropped Sweater is so adorable. I love it! I wish I could afford a $298 sweater!

And woah! A Gryson White & Natural Purse for $263? Man! That's a great deal!

Sale Dresses @ shopbop.com

Here are some gorgeous dresses I found on sale at shopbop.com (left to right):

1. T-Bags Front Wrap Dress ($148.40, down from $212.00). T-Bags dresses are so figure flattering and this is a good basic to have around.

2. LOVE YAYA Pali Long Sleeve Tunic ($72.50, down from $145.00). This is a lovely, comfy-looking French terry tunic that looks like it can really be dressed up.

3. C & C California Keira Mixed Stripe Cashmere Dress ($137.50, down from $275.00). This is an amazing price for a cashmere dress. I can just imagine how luxurious it would feel to wear this. Plus, the stripes give this dress a little added pizazz.

Lovely Stone Mountain Purses

Stone Mountain Handbags are so beautifully made with great quality leather. It's true that most of their designs aren't all that exciting, but sometimes you can find a really stunning purse.

At left is the Naomi Satchel. I love the pretty pleats and flip-lock closures. To make this purse even more attractive, it's marked down to $79.99 (from $255.00).

The Kerri Satchel at right would be a really great work purse. The structured shape really says professional and it's a really great size for holding everything you would need for the workday. This lovely leather purse is on sale for $129.99 (from $175).

More Shoes - Inappropriate for Winter

These Lickerish Patent Wedges are amazing!

I just love the architecturally cutout wedge. So hot.

And not expensive at all.

Yum.

Clearly, I Wish It Were Spring

These Suede Knotted Ballet Flats are simply adorable and come in colors that are perfect for spring.

Oh man, I really wish it weren't so cold out there.

I'll just have to keep daydreaming about when I'll be able to go out in ballet flats again.

More Purse Love

The Kensington Triangle Canvas Shoulder Bag from BR is so chic.

The bag is a nice sleek shape and is made of canvas trimmed in eye catching patent leather. It opens up to 3 sections with a zippered middle section, but also 2 outer sections that are open (for those items that need to be easier to grab).

A pretty, AND practical purse.

Rafe-tastic

Happy 2008!

I was browsing the Rafe.com site and came across these hot items at 60% off.

The Lindsay Satchel at left is so adorable (now only $210, down from $525) and is the perfect mix of sophisticated casual.

The Wooster Key & Card Case is definitely something I would love to own (now only $40, down from $100). Who wouldn't enoy some lovely distressed 2-tone leather, and an awesome turtle snap flap closure? I just love my leather goods to have some hardware.
