Adorable Printed Peep Tab Skimmers

These are floral, yellow, AND peep toes.

I don't think you can stuff any more "spring" into this shoe if you tried.

Light & Airy

I love daydreaming about a hot day. One where the sun is pretty hot and you can't imagine wearing jeans/pants because it's just too hot. The perfect bottom for a day like that is an airy cotton skirt. I love my white one, but man...it's a smidge sheer for my liking at times.

Here are 2 great darker color skirts (yes, I know they will absorb more heat and what-not, but they're still VERY well ventilated!) that are appropriate for the office AND for a romp in the park.

Print Shoes

My love for prints has spread to shoes!

Starting from the left...

The floral print on the "Fuss" Pump from Exchange by Charles David is so cute. Not sure how I feel about the heel though (I'm a skinny heel type).

I have always been a fan of animal prints and by far, my favorite is definitely giraffe. These shoes are no exception...I just love these Giraffe Print Platform Pumps!!

Polka dots and black/white combos are both going to be big this spring and these dotty Nomad Phyllis Black Canvas Flats will be perfect for the upcoming spring season.

These St. Tropez Cotton Slides are also great. My J.Crew catalog has this print with yellow and white and those are very eye catching. It's a shame I couldn't find a pic of those!

Pretty Print Tops

For the past few years, I have been telling myself to add more patterns to my wardrobe (to make it a little more exciting) and I never seem to be able to "make it work" (Tim Gunn reference).

Every season Anthropologie has great prints, like this brightly colored Gouache Top, but as a novice, I think I should start with some cheaper options.

I love the Silky Knit Kimono Top from La Redoute. It's a 2-color top (not too scary) and the floral print is really pretty.

Even more basic is a the Floral Jersey Top from Forever 21 (also the cheapest option). Simple black and white gets a little more fun with lil pops of red in this cute print.

Maybe this'll be the year I start wearing some prints.

Nanette Lepore for Keds

After being hit with a Nor'easter, I'm particularly interested in focusing on spring.

The one style that isn't here, but Nanette Lepore mentions in this video, is the rafia skimmer with the knot bow. It looks so cute!

Basic LBD

I do have an LBD, but it's a little too sexay for day wear. What I think would be nice in my wardrobe is a classic black dress that can be dressed up or down...that looks appropriate at work or at a party.

Cole Haan Clutch

Spring makes me think of less. I wear less, and I like to carry less too (large purses seem to work better when you're wearing several layers plus a coat...don't want that teeny pochette to get lost in all those layers of coat!).

I like this tri-color "Mirror Bangle" from Cole Haan. It's got some nice details/hardware and is eye-catching. I also like the shape...looks like it would fit ergonomically into hands very well.
