I departed lovely Boston for 3 heavenly weeks at home in Hong Kong.
Here is the best picture I took (which nicely sums up the time I spent shopping there):

I hadn't been back to Hong Kong in several years and on the first day back, I found this great store called "Milan Station," which is an upscale consignment store with an amazing selection of secondhand (some completely unused!!!) as well as brand spanking new purses. A quick google search found that a lot of the goods come mostly from socialites who are always trying to be the first with the newest "It" bag so they need to get rid of yesterday's purse...and that means more secondhand designer bags for the masses! I'm not complaining!
There are numerous locations throughout Hong Kong (for those of you who'd like some info on where some of these locations are: Shatin in the mall between New Town Plaza Phase 1 & Lucky Plaza, Haiphong Street in TST, Lan Kwai Fong on D'Aguilar St, several in Causeway Bay near Times Square) and since not every location has the exact same stuff, it's worth it to go into every single one (my Boston born husband picked up the Cantonese way to say "Milan Station" VERY quickly!).
Oh, and for those of you who are asking about the authenticity, they do have Hong Kong's Tourism department sticker in the window so it's a pretty darned reputable place.
I also went to the Prada/Miu Miu outlet called "Space Warehouse" (where I scored a half-price purse) and the outlets of upscale department stores "Lane Crawford" and "Joyce." Those were located in Ap Lei Chau.
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is...if you're looking for an awesome shopping/Chinese food eating bonanza of a vacation, Hong Kong is pretty much the ideal destination.
