Burberry for $48

I had enough frequent flyer miles to get myself an iPod nano, so you know...it makes sense to have a fashionable case for it.

I LOVE these. I think there's something about the one on the right that just looks a little sexier. It's probably the straps that look like suspenders. Although, it might also be a bigger (I'm guessing so from the amount of print shown in the picture).

DVF Deals

I have obviously been hanging around NeimanMarcus.com all evening and of course, made my way to the "Sale & Values" section.

Dresses Divine

I love these beautiful dresses!

At left is a Ruched Dress by Roberto Cavalli. I love the pattern and it's body-huggingness. This dress is one sexy, attention-grabbing number.

At right is a Strapless Lace Dress by Vivienne Tam. The color is gorgeous and the dress is nice and lacy and dainty. It's so adorable!

Good Hairday

Anyone who knows me knows I look like a real nerd in headbands, but they're everywhere right now and they're so preppy-cute! So if you've got it (in this case, headband wearing ability), flaunt it! And I know that the ponytail elastic isn't a headband, but it was such an awesome piece, I had to include it.

Adorable Quilted Flats!

I saw these very cute AE Quilted Ballet Flats online a few days ago and I saw them in the store yesterday and I have to say they look just as good (if not better) in person.

I particularly like the "plum" color. It also comes in grey and brown, but the plum is different and unexpected. Plus, it'll still go well with plenty of colors.

Cute Long Cowl Neck from Old Navy

I have been waiting for this Long Cowl Neck Sweater to pop up online for AGES! I first saw it a few weeks ago in a magazine ad for Old Navy. It was the white version being worn as a dress (it hits the model mid-thigh!) with red tights/hose and flats.

When I saw that, I was hooked. I looooooove the look. Plus, I love the efficiency of a sweater that can also be a dress - I want!

A Shirt & A Sweater

Far left is the AE Memories Shirt. I love the cute lil collar and the lil lace details. I also love how this shirt will look just as good at work or dressed down for weekend.

The sweater is a Max Studio Cashmere Wool Cardigan. The texture and crochet trim make this piece unique and adorable.

Not Bright (But Equally Cute) Purses

Here are some cute not suede, not bright purses.

These purses can be dressed up/down easily and I love that in my purses (you never know what parties may arise after work!).

Tweed and velvet are wonderful fall fabrics and both the Tweed Frame Purse and Velvet Scrunch Bag have trendy elements to them (kisslocks/framed purses/chain straps).

The Buckle Bag is great because it's made of a faux suede. I'm a pretty big fan of faux suede since it doesn't look cheap like faux leather and it stands up to water much better than real suede.

Sweatin' Sweaters Yet?

There's a lot of voluminous sweaters this fall. Make sure to keep your lower half more streamlined to avoid the "I shrank in the wash!" look. Newport News makes it a lil bit easier because if you buy either the V-neck Sweater or Tunic Sweater, you get leggings free! (Which is probably the only way leggings should be acquired.) If you're boycotting leggings, skinny/slimmer jeans (anything that you can tuck into a pair of tall boots) will also work, just avoid flares/wide legs.

I like the cable knit cardi because I'd be able to sit in my car and keep my legs warm but of course not have to try and organize the back while getting into my teeny tiny sports car (yes, I have found this difficult when wearing a long sweatercoat/coat).

Cute, Bright, Suede

These are so beautiful. I know suede might not be the best material for rain and snow, but if there's a day where you can get away with using one of these gorgeous bright purses, it'll be a happy day indeed.

Fall Skirts

I love skirts but the moment the weather suddenly went cold (it was Sunday at 8:03am), I got the feeling of "BUT I NEED TO KEEP WEARING SKIRTS!"

Skirts have been big this summer to keep me cool when nothing else would and now I have to say "Sayonara" to those faithful friends (most of my skirts are of the floaty, summer colored variety).

The upside to this is that there are lots of skirts waiting to be worn in the fall.

On the far left is a Bandless Waist Tweed Skirt by Newport News (despite the fact that they have shown the dress in the picture). I love the perfect lil crochet trim! Very cute touch.

In the middle is a Lace & Tweed Skirt by La Redoute. I like how it's not too structured and how this tweed skirt is actually flirty!

On the far right is a Sheer Jersey Full Skirt by American Apparel. Since jersey dressing is where it's at this fall, this would fit in perfectly. I love the deep "Forest" color, but I would not be opposed to the "Eggplant," "Navy," or "Asphalt" options. Wear it with a cute lil sweater (v-neck, crew, or turtleneck...whatever) and a cute pair of round toe pumps. Cute cute!

New Filene's Basement!

I just heard that there will be a new Filene's Basement location opening September 13th in the Back Bay (497 Boylston St to be exact)!

Suspension Update

Ann Taylor Loft now has 2 pairs of pants that come with suspenders!

I have to say that I kind of like the look of the Metro Wash Trouser Fit Suspender Jean (at left). Although the Marisa Corduroy Suspender Pant looks a little funny to me. The whole khakis with suspenders thing isn't doing it for me.


Also, for a cheap suspender option, Forever 21 has 3 pairs of suspenders available: Solid Suspenders ($5.80), Stephanie Suspenders, and Sarah Suspenders (both are in a stripe and cost $6.80).

Buckles & Belts

I love the "Kalalilly" Patch Mule by Payless.

I am tiring of bows and ribbons so the buckle on this shoe as well as the Wilson's Leather Double Buckle Organizer Tote (mentioned in this post) are a great alternative.

Only problem is, what color to get the mules in? I love both the colorways! Although at the low low $19.99 AND the Payless BOGO Half Off AND the Payless free 2-day shipping over $45 until tomorrow (Sept 5th), maybe getting both isn't a bad idea!

The belted "Seana" Hobo is also a great piece for fall. I would switch out the belt with colorful belts and scarves and always have a fresh new look. Pieces that are versatile like that are always useful since you don't always want to switch your gear from one purse to another, you just want a different look.
